University Research Park is currently searching for a talented professional to join its team in the newly created position of Site & Civil Project Director.

The position was first posted on March 7, 2023. It will be posted and accepting applications at least through April 9, 2023. All applications received by April 9, 2023 will be considered. Summary of job responsibilities:

The Site & Civil Project Director will work both independently and as part of University Research Park’s broader team to assess the real estate development potential of sites, plan and prepare sites for development, and support real estate development activities.

This position will focus on planning, engineering, landscape architecture, and entitlement portions of real estate development, with less emphasis on financing, market feasibility, or vertical design/construction.

In short, University Research Park is seeking a team member expert in “horizontal” development to complement current team members with expertise in “vertical” development.

Summary of experience sought:

A strong candidate would likely have at least five years of experience providing professional services in a field such as civil engineering, urban planning, or comparable expertise development through real estate or facility development. A strong candidate will have experience managing projects and demonstrate a readiness to work independently.

We have several openings within our Structural Services Division in Brookfield. This team is responsible for the overall design and coordination of structural and cold formed steel structural building related projects from inception through completion of construction. The positions include a Structural Bridge Leader, Project Manager-Cold-Formed, a Sr. Project Engineer-Cold Formed and an Engineer – Buildings.

Bridge Leader: As a seller-doer, this person will serve as project manager or technical lead on bridge-related projects. They will work closely with our Transportation Division and take active participation in business development activities including project pursuits, client management, and organizational involvement.

Project Manager – Cold-Formed: As a seller-doer, this person will serve as project manager or technical lead in our Cold-Formed Steel Group. They will take active participation in business development activities including project pursuits, client management, and organizational involvement.

Sr. Structural Project Engineer – Cold-Formed: This position, either individually or as part of a team, is responsible for the overall design, review and coordination of cold-formed steel structural building-related projects from inception through completion of construction. They will organize and manage structural design efforts for multiple simultaneous projects, manage and review structural engineering drawings for assigned projects including the preparation of plans, schedules, and details.

Structural Engineer – Buildings: This person will design structural systems of cast-in-place and precast concrete, structural steel, masonry and wood framing for a variety of healthcare, commercial, industrial, multi-family residential, mixed-use and institutional buildings. This person will also prepare structural calculations for submittal to regulating authority and perform and/or coordinate the review of shop drawing submittals. All
